Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Montgomery (born 19 June 1972 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) 1 is an Australian actress. She currently stars as Samantha Spade in the American television series Without a Trace.

Her parents named her and her sisters after flowers, and their brother after Jethro Tull. She attended the Ascham School in Edgecliff, New South Wales. Montgomery quit school to travel with her then-boyfriend, immigrating to the United States when she was 18.

She came into prominence with her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the 2001 CBS mini-series Blonde, based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates.2

She and boyfriend, actor Adam Kaufman, are the parents of a son, Jackson Phillip Deveraux Montgomery Kaufman, born on 23 December 2007 in Los Angeles. 3 4
