It is run by CEO Eugene Lee and President and co-founder Ross Mayfield.¹ The focus of Socialtext Incorporated is to enable people within a company to collaborate and share information with one another, increasing the company's productivity.

The company includes the Omidyar Network,² Draper Fisher Jurvetson,³ and SAP Ventures⁴ among its investors.
