This page is for requesting that a page, image or template be fully protected, semi-protected, move-protected or unprotected. Please read up on the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection is usually used only to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. After a page has been protected, the protection is listed in the page history and logs with a short description indicating why it was protected, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. Further discussion should take place on the Talk page of the article. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins do not revert back to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.
If you would like to request a page to be protected or unprotected, please follow the following steps:

'''semi-protect'''. High level of IP vandalism. ~~~~
Place requests for either semi-protection, full protection, move protection, or create protection at the TOP of this section. Check here if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
semi protection, preferably long term. FA-class article with no substantial work being done on it and a regular flow of IP vandalism in the recent past. Steven Walling (talk) 02:39, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
temporary semi-protection Vandalism, Excessive and often malicious vandalism..Synchronism (talk) 02:26, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
temporary semi-protection , Suggest 1 week. Spamming f365nws.com - should perhaps investigate those accounts and/or blacklisting as well.. — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 00:32, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protect. An earlier request was denied because no one was reverting the vandalism on the article. However, since I've been keeping an eye on the article for the last couple of days, it has received a high amount of vandalism from IP accounts. --Farix (Talk) 00:14, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
temporary semi-protection Vandalism, This page is being continually vandalized .TheUnfortunate (talk) 21:39, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
indefinite full protection , Nobody should edit my archives. They are archives. if they want to talk to me, tey can do so on my regular talk page..Cssiitcic (talk) 20:57, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
indefinite semi-protection , I want to protect my userpage from unregistered vandals..Cssiitcic (talk) 20:54, 21 November 2008
Semi-protect - IP address have been editing the page continually since last night, adding unsourced airdates to future episodes. Some are citing a trailer for the upcoming episode (which only aired on select broadcasts), but, given that the episode won't air to sometime in 2009, and that the studio has not released any real official statement regarding when the next episode will air, I have tried to explain that citing a trailer is not reliable. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 19:48, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
semi-protect. IP address edits repeatedly removing information - may be the subject of the item itself trying to suppress information. Zoeoconnell (talk) 19:45, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
If you simply want to make spelling corrections or add information to a protected page that is not disputed, and you are not involved in any disputes there, consider simply adding {{Editprotected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. See the list of current {{Editprotected}} requests.
If you do want a page that exists unprotected, please try to ask the protecting admin first before making a request here.
Check here if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
unprotection , It appears that the arguement that caused this article to be protected has ended and thus protection is no longer needed. If it is decided to remove protection i will watch over the article as i have a personal interest in that i actualy went to this school .Kirachinmoku (talk) 18:20, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Unprotect. No sign that article is unstable and/or is receiving any vandalism. No vandalism over the past 5 months almost. Piebald Avarice (talk) 18:00, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Note: Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add {{Editprotected}}, {{Editsemiprotected}} or {{Request edit}} to the article's talk page if you would like an inconsequential change rather than requesting it here, though most of these should simply wait for unprotection.

semi-protection: constant IP (or un-autoconfirmed) vandalism. Andrea (talk) 16:45, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Full protection needed quite urgently: Huge edit war developing on this featured article. There is currently a court case going on and The Sun tabloid has spread a rumour that Jackson has converted to Islam (this is all linked to the court case). The rest of the media are reporting the Sun's story and editors are changing the whole article to say that Jackson is now Muslim. The article needs protecting until this latest rubbish dies down. — Realist2 16:37, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
indefinite full protection , Archive should not be edited by anyone..--Unpopular Opinion (talk · contribs) 15:50, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
semi-protect. High level of vandalism within the past week or so. Ashbey (talk) 15:35, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Unprotection. I couldn't figure out why this page is protected, and I just want to leave the guy a message. --Zvika (talk) 06:09, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
indefinite full protection Vandalism, Semi-protection only stops un-registered users from vandalising this page. As this page has a high risk of vandalism i would recommend that it be fully protected..Kirachinmoku (talk) 14:16, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protection: various time-wasting IP edits. --♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 14:00, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protection: Various unconstructive edits have been made to the article again as of late. -- Luke4545 (talk) 12:38, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protection. This page has been vandalized at such a high rate that there have been 16 vandalism reverts in the past 3 days. Anytime this page is not protected, vandalism persists at about this same rate. MarcusMaximus (talk) 05:40, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Creation protection. Article in question doesn't exist. Its talk page is being used by 71.190.26.165 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) to store a list of films with post-credits scenes since he cannot create the actual article and countless previous attempts to put the list in the main article have failed. I've already speedied it so it should be deleted soon, but this is the third or fourth time he's recreated it. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 05:39, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protection Page is often a target of random IPs. Page isn't being vandalised constantly, but is being vandalised often. HalfShadow 05:18, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protection due to Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University being repeatedly and inappropriately cut-and-pasted to this redirect page by User:Wonton2ton and a range of similar IPs, presumably belonging to the user. --Paul_012 (talk) 04:47, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
